In order to reduce the number of employees hesitant to take childcare leave for financial reasons, we launched a childcare support program "Incentive to take childcare leave" for all employees in April 2023.
Under this system, the company provides an allowance equivalent to 60% of the basic salary, which is approximately 140% of the take-home pay during the leave compared to the pre-childcare leave (the maximum payment period is two months).
We want to reduce the number of male employees who want to take long-term childcare leave but are discouraged from doing so for financial reasons. And we are hopeful that the 140% take-home pay for female employees will allow their partners to take the option of taking parental leave as well.
